Theater

The goal of the theater major is to cultivate artistic talent for Israeli theater in all its aspects. We cultivate talented students in the field, to become professional theater professionals, people of culture and spirit. Engaged, value-based citizens who contribute to the community in which they live.

Themes and styles

Students experiment with different styles of theater: realistic, movement, and musicals, and with production work: lighting, set design, sound, etc. Special emphasis is placed on ensemble work. The results of the work can be seen in full productions and artistic evenings that the students of the program put on throughout the year.

The skills learned

Students in the program acquire performance skills at a highly professional level in the areas of performance: acting, directing, movement, voice development, musical, speech and text guidance, improvisation. In the areas of production: sound design, costumes, set design, lighting and production management. During their studies in the program, they refine their ability to express themselves: by developing sensory alertness, treating the body as a tool of expression, the voice as a tool of expression, developing the ability to improvise and express emotions.

Admission conditions

The program accepts students with the ability to express their personal interests, who are interested in becoming professional theater professionals, people of culture and spirit, and who want to gain an in-depth understanding of Israeli theater in all its aspects.

The entrance exams for the program are held in three stages on different days:

We recommend registering for an introductory workshop that we will hold on the dates before the entrance exams.
The workshop is paid and not mandatory.
In the workshop, we will give a "taste" of the studies in the theater major. We will also help with preparation recommendations for the entrance exams for the major.
The workshop lasts about an hour and a half.
