Visual art

Our goal is to provide knowledge, tools, and inspiration to students who are gifted with exceptional visual talent.
Through a program that provides a broad and high-quality range of visual fields, we strive for our students to acquire artistic, creative, and intellectual abilities, thereby contributing to their personal future and to visual culture in Israel and abroad.
Students in the program see the visual arts as a means of expressing themselves. Students from all over the country come to the program and quickly find themselves in a community united around a love of visual art.

The unique program for the visual arts major

Elementary studies

The course of study in the major begins with basic studies, emphasizing the acquisition of basic skills in various mediums. Later, studies delve into additional creative areas such as animation, design studies and technological creation, and more independent creative work. The aim is to provide an optimal response to the artistic and intellectual growth of the students at every stage.

Art and Design Studies

Throughout the years of study, students are exposed to all the creative possibilities in the fields of art and design. In the first year, they learn the basics.
Grade 10 serves as a gateway to art and design studies and a bridge between the elementary year and the year of creative processes. In this year, students develop their media skills and are exposed to new areas of knowledge such as digital art and design research. Grade 11 is dedicated to personal immersion in the medium and building personal creative processes. In addition, this year, students carry out two projects in the field of design and study animation.

Medium for specialization

The track is completed in the twelfth grade, with an in-depth study of the medium of choice – 2D, 3D or new media. Students receive studios for independent work as well as personal guidance and tours. In addition, students are busy creating a project in the field of design, a final art exhibition, writing a research paper and visiting various art institutions.

Looking out

In our program, we invest heavily in creating for and in relation to the community and the environment. Five matriculation units are dedicated to this cause. In grades 11 and 12, we combine animation, photography, design, and sculpture in projects that emphasize contributing to the community.
